Portraiture Now - Drawing on the Edge

One of our favorite art forms is drawing, combine that with portraiture and the chances of having a wonderful artistic adventure could be taking shape for the viewer.

This happened when I visited the National Portrait Gallery where the exhibit Drawing on the Edge was being displayed. It showcased six artist that took different approach with their drawings, they were Mequitta Ahuja, Mary Borgman, Adam Chapman, Ben Durham, Till Freiwald, and Rob Matthews.

The unique aspect of drawing is it's complete ability to let you create whatever is in the artist mind easily and directly. Yes, it's risky and one of the most powerful if you connect with the work. I want to pick a favorite in this group, the exhibit of Mary Borgman was amazing.

If you ever get a chance to view this artist work, you will not be disappointed we are sure.
