Art Submissions has begun for this Falls Annual AITC Art Show!
Since 2006 our annual Art In The City (AITC) art show in Baltimore Maryland has been an exciting platform for so many established, plus up and coming artist representing Baltimore and all of the DMV. This gallery free show brings in roughly 120 - 175 art buyers and guest during past artist reception that takes place right before the holidays, and over 325+ during the duration of the show.
With this open themed annual art show we are always looking for artist of all disciplines that can show a compassionate sense of awareness for capturing or creating visual compositions that help the viewer to simply feel. From painters, sculptures, mixed media, photographers, videographers, wardrobe designers, illustrators, musicians, dancers, poets, singers etc. This show has always been a platform for many artist over the years right here in the art community of Highlandtown.
This exhibit has been created and curated by photographer Jeff Martin of Martin Studio Photography in Baltimore, MD. And it will be held once again at The Skyloft Galleries at 3703 Bank Street, Baltimore, Maryland 21224. This show will run from Friday, November 20th, 2015 and closing January 4th, 2016. There will be over 4,000 square feet of indoor show space but we are looking for roughly 20 artist for this location. So submit early! Vendors welcomed as well.
The artist reception will be held Saturday, November 21st, 2015 from 6pm - 10pm and when we encourage artist to be present. Second Look Productions will capture video footage of the artist reception as we will have the following entertainment lineup for our guest;
- The S-quire jazz (playing jazz and neo-soul from 7pm - 10pm) in Skyloft G
- DJ Terence Bethea of Intense Sound from 8pm to close in Skyloft A.
- The AITC Fashion show showcasing designer Marsha Marie Designs plus at 8pm in Skyloft A
- We will also have two wine tastings sessions for our guests with the Sassy Sipper in Skyloft F.
- Live paintings by Laurese Paintz and face painting by Artistry Apparel Designs through out the event.
- And of course the food and drinks!
If accepted by our panel, the artist costs to participate is $50 per artist. This comes with a up to 16' x 16" wall space, and the option for a small fold up table for smaller items to rack display and sell at an additional cost. (All sales are handled by the artist.)
This exhibition gives artist the opportunity to expose their work to another large, and possibly a more diverse audience. This is also a wonderful opportunity to network with peers, art lovers, and our customers. Having more visibility and growing your contact list is key and can enhance your careers as artist. So bring plenty of marketing material to pass out while here.

You don't want to miss this show, it's one of the largest indoor art events this fall. Submissions are only excepted until October 30th, 2015!
