AITC Show Guidelines

General information

The Skyloft Gallery at 3703 Bank Street, Baltimore is a living breathing part of the community. It is a high traffic multiple use space with a broad range of users. From family gatherings, with area visitors utilizing the galleries for special events, productions, and workshop teachings for example.

During our big annual AITC Fall Artist show, we may use Galleries A, F, and G depending on the number of artist participating. (See floor plan below.) Art is hung by show curator and his staff with the artist input in presentation.

Our annual show is catered, has live art performaces, live Jazz, and or a DJ for your guests enjoyment as they connect with art!

If you are interested in this years annual show, please submit the following by email:
  • Name, and phone number.
  • Artist Bio
  • 3-5 digital samples of the work you will be showing, or style of work.
  • And your web site. 
  • Submit these items to: aitcmagazine@gmail.com  
  • Our judges will review and AITC will respond to you within 10 days!
 

Our Annual Fall Show Guidelines

Approved participating artist are invited to bring 1-10 pieces of their art work to be displayed for the duration of our fall annual "Open Themed" show.

The wall space provided for your art display is: 16' x 16'

Artist can also display more of their art by becoming a vendor and setting up their own table for an additional fee. This is on a first come, first serve basis as space is limited.

Please note, the artist and their work must follow these show guidelines, once approved:
  • Wall art must be ready to hang from a single point on the back of their art. (One wire will be used to hang your art in the gallery. Up to 30lbs. No two point hanging allowed.)
  • All art being submitted for display must have the following information in the art tag:
    • Artist name.
    • Name of the art.
    • Date the art was created, if it's not noted in the art.
    • Size of the art (including frame.)
    • Media ID. (illustration, painting, photography, sculpture, etc.)
    • Contact info (email address or web site.)
  • Identify any dates the art is not available during the AITC Show.
  • All art work must be framed and or mounted. Painters can present neat looking stretched canvas. (Finished work that buyers can purchase and hang is ideal for quicker sales.)
  • Artist must handle all art sales transactions. (Art sold can be removed after the reception.) 
  • All artist must have an Artist Statement submitted by email to: aitcmagazine@gmail.com

  • All artist are strongly suggested to be present for the "Artist Reception Event" if all possible and wearing a name tag or an Artist ID lanyard. 
  • All artist interested in submitting an art item for the "Silent Auction" during the artist reception event please let the art curator know by email with an image of the art.
  • If any artist is interested in having an "Artist Talk" setup for the show guest please contact us before September 30th, 2017. 
  • If these guidelines can not be followed, as in you can't provide the needed items please contact us for help. Your work will not be displayed otherwise, and you forefeit your deposit or entry fee.
  • All approved artist and vendors must submit their show entrance fee of $75 before art drop off dates.

Annual Fall Exhibition Show Opening Details:


For the 2017 Fall AITC Art Show, Opening Friday, October 13th, 2017
  • Location: Skyloft Galleries: 3703 Bank Street. Baltimore, MD 21224
  • Artist submission date range for approval by jury: August 1st thru September 30th 2017.
  • Art drop off: October 1st thru the 10th 2017.
  • Art show opening date: Friday, October 13th during normal business hours.
  • Artist reception event will be on Saturay, October 14th from 4pm - 7pm, does open at 3pm. A dress code is in place, no atheletic wear. Business causal or dress to impress.
  • Art show closing date: Friday, January 5th, 2018.
  • Art removal dates: January 5th thru the 7th 2018.

Show entrance fee for "Approved Artist ":

Artist, once you have received written approved we will send you a PayPal Invoice (You do not need to be a member of PayPal to use this service) where you can pay your deposit of $37.50 to secure your participation. Any balance will be due before you arrive the day of the show.
  • The Artist fee to participate in our annual fall show is $75
    • If they artist wish to be an Artist/Vendor as well (table presence to sell more, or smaller items of art) an additional $25 is required. (You must bring your own tables, 2 max and or floor standing banners.)
    • Please read the Security and Insurance statement below discussing liability!

Show entrance fee for "Approved Vendors ":

Vendors, once you have received written approved we will send you a PayPal Invoice (You do not need to be a member of PayPal to use this service) where you can pay your deposit of $37.50 to secure your participation. Any balance will be due before you arrive the day of the show.
  • The Vendor fee is $75, great for products and services.
    • You must bring your own display table, no more than two!
    • Floor standing banners are welcomed.
    • No wall space will be available, your product display must be table and floor designed.
    • If you have a company logo and you want to be listed in our "Market Place" sections of our networks please let us know!

Security and insurance for all events:

As noted above, The Skyloft Gallery is a high traffic rental facility with all visitors passing through the entrance/art gallery.
The facility is monitored through video and locked after business hours. But we suggest you protect your own art with your own insurance policy. The location has its own insurance policy, however due to the nature of this rental event space, artist are responsible for any damage to their art including broken, stolen or damaged artwork hanging in the gallery whether or not a claim is filed through our policy (either by the art curator or the owner of the building.)
By applying for admittance to our art gallery shows as an artist, and hanging your art at Skyloft Galleries at 3703 Bank Street, you agree to these terms.


 
 
 
Private Art Shows at Skyloft "F" Art Gallery Guidelines
Skyloft F Gallery offers private gallery shows for individual artist. We offer a great location for showing art in our rustic historic location in the heart of Baltimore. We are close to I-95 and I-895, (just three turns off the exit ramp) and 3 miles from Baltimore's Penn Station.

We offer weekly, and monthly show plans for artist with evening and weekend hours for open visitations as well as private showings.
  • Weekly plan - $105
  • Monthly plan - $400
    • Additional fee for artist opening reception - $210 (and up, free quote given.)
      • Base price includes; Wine and cheese platter from Baltimore's DiPascuals Italian marketplace.
