πŸ€” Mine, light painting a celestial place in Peru. πŸ“Έ Sharing this thought from this talented artist post. 🎨 #Repost @rahiem_milton ・・・ The first thing that comes to mind is the painting I’ve always wanted to do of my Mother, but felt I was never good enough to capture her essence because she’s been an essential part of the man I am today. I want it to be absolutely perfect. Also I thought of doing a self-portrait for the simple fact that I RARELY do one. Or maybe I do a Mural that represents the struggle of my people. A timeline of when we were held in captivity to the point where we now are the vanguard of this culture. Even though we still have many rivers to cross. πŸ™πŸΏ❤️🎨 #ArtLife

Still remembering....We are barely in the 2nd quarter of this year if 2019. But yet it seems we’ve lost so many giants already. This man here, another one that touched so many lives with his realness. πŸ™πŸ½πŸ’” #Repost @donniesimpsonsr ・・・ The first time I met John Singleton, he came by my radio show to promote his new movie Baby Boy. He brought with him a quiet newcomer I had never heard of. Her name was Taraji P. Henson @tarajiphenson . She’s quiet no more and the world knows her now. John had such an impact on so many careers and lives. He focused his lens on people who seemed invisible. Through his art, he let them know, I See You. RIP My Brother ~Donnie Simpson . . #Bigfacts #Repost @shaunking ・・・ One of my favorite images of John Singleton. Here he is just 23 years old and was shaking up the whole film industry with Boyz N The Hood. To this day it’s in my Top 5 movies of all time. Nothing had ever been made that showed both the beauty and pain of our families and our communities. He was so badass.

Damn! πŸ’” Gone too soon. #rip πŸ™πŸ½ #Repost @shaunking ・・・ John Singleton has actually passed away. This morning his family was wrestling with the decision of whether or not to take him off of life support, but that decision has now been made. John was a brilliant filmmaker. His movies populated my childhood. He started and launched the careers of so many people that are now household names. A major loss.

Good stuff. #facts πŸ’―✏️ πŸ€“ #Repost @rahiem_milton ・・・ You could be the most talented artist and everyone tells you how great you are. Sorry..... We just had to repost it... AMAZING!!! 🏌️ #tigerwoods #Repost @washingtonpost ・・・ Breaking news: Tiger Woods on Sunday won @themasters for his first major tournament victory since 2008 and his 15th overall. It's the fifth time he's won the tournament and the first since 2005. Woods remains second all-time behind Jack Nicklaus (18) in majors wins, but his victory Sunday at Augusta National completed a dramatic comeback for the superstar golfer after injuries and off-course issues had derailed his legendary career. At 43, he is the oldest Masters winner since Nicklaus won at 46 in 1986. (Photo by Lucy Nicholson/Reuters)

#Repost @nmaahc ・・・ On April 4, 1968, shortly after 6 p.m., Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. was assassinated by James Earl Ray while standing on the balcony outside the now memorialized Lorraine Motel room 306. While planning a march in Washington, D.C. to urge Congress to pass further Civil Rights legislation, King was called to Memphis, Tennessee to assist in a sanitation workers’ strike. African American sanitation workers were protesting for equal pay and improved working conditions. On April 3rd, after his flight to Memphis was delayed due to a bomb threat, King spoke at Mason Temple, headquarters of the Church of God in Christ. Here he gave his last speech, known as the “I’ve Been to the Mountaintop” sermon. King made the powerful statement, "...I'm not worried about anything, I'm not fearing any man. Mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord." πŸ’” We need unity. Humanity seems to come together when there is a common fight? They’re called WORLD WARS.
